Cal Randall is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Discovery Bay, CA who attends De La Salle. XL frame with long, broad-shouldered build. Righthanded pitcher, big leg lift over rubber, long stride downhill, uses lower half well with efficiency to movements, lower release height from mid-low three quarters slot, plus arm speed, fastball reached 94 mph and sat in 90-92 mph range, heavy life to the pitch arm side with above-average spin rates at times. Varies shape on breaker, can sweep it across the zone or sharpen it up to throw backfoot to lefties, has shown above-average changeup as well with arm speed and fade. Good student, committed to UCLA, named to 2022 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
