Pj Craig is a 2022 RHP/3B, IF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Barnegat, NJ who attends Barnegat. Recorded a 8.58 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with plenty of room to add strength and mature. Primary right-handed pitcher with smooth, repeatable delivery and looseness to his arm stroke. Works from a forty-five degree start with a slightly above belt high leg kick and high hands. Fastball worked in the 76-79 mph range in this look, topping out at 80 miles per hour with arm-side life through the zone. Shows ability to command both sides of the plate with full arsenal, sequencing well with two-seam fastball to the arm-side and well-tunneled slider to the outer third. Advanced pitchability with good feel for spin that will continue to improve as he adds strength. Secondary third baseman with developing defensive skills, deliberate long actions into and through the fielding process and a longer action. Well-engaged lower half when fielding out in front, working into a longer arm action with throws recorded up to 76 miles per hour across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly open stance with a high back elbow and simple leg lift trigger for timing. Middle-of-the field approach with elongated swing path, some quickness to his hands and good bat-to-ball skills. Lofted stroke with leverage created out in front and the potential for more power as he matures. Excellent Student.
