Braylen Conlon is a 5-foot-7, class of 2025 LHP/1B, OF from Toddville, IA who attends Xavier HS. Braylan shows an emerging talent that is certain to improve even more as her young career continues. As certain as her future appears on the diamond, it is equally matched by her ability in the classroom, which is also stellar. She ran a 5.57 40-yard dash and was timed at 3.61 from home to first. She also posted a 5'9 1/2 standing broad jump. As a defender, Braylen shows smooth and consistent actions with the glove. She has outstanding first step quickness and positions with confidence. She plays through the fielding action well and shows an easy and consistent transition. Her longer arm action allows for her 58-mph throws to hold their plane and have routine accuracy. Solid defensive ability. At the plate, Braylen's athleticism is truly noticeable. She has a sound feel for the short game and her ability to bunt should probably be a big part of her offensive arsenal moving forward. She has a slightly closed stance at the ready and a quick trigger. She is short and direct to contact, and her swing operation appears easy and natural. She gets the barrel to contact with forceful impact and shows impressive raw power. Braylen has sound ability now and her attention to detail should allow her to grow her game even more. With added physical maturity/strength and exposure to higher level competition, Braylen has a great chance to play at the next level. Promising future.
