2023 High School All State Select Championship (2024-2025 Grads)
Sebastian Barrera is a 2025 OF/RHP, C with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Los Fresnos, TX who attends Los Fresnos. Tall, athletic build with long levers and good physical projection. 7.02 runner in the sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder, aggressive on the charge, showed fundamentally sound actions and footwork working through the ball with a one hand gather on the side. Good arm on display throughout the round with carry and accuracy to the bag and projects well in the outfield, recorded throws up to 88 mph. Secondary catcher, higher side saddled setup behind the dish, showed good athleticism and quickness coming out of the crouch. Compact arm action and gets it out of the glove quickly. Same arm strength that we saw in the outfield workout, recorded throws up to 77 mph and a pop-time of 1.97. Right-handed hitter, even base with hands tight to the frame. Shorter leg lift trigger gets the swing started, gets the barrel inside the baseball and impacts to the opposite field. Bat speed should continue to get better as he adds strength. Good student. Verbal commitment to Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
