Cole Van Ameyde is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Lake Orion, MI who attends Brother Rice. Medium frame with slender, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.17 seconds. Hits from even-based stance, gains ground well in stride, linear swing path with looseness to hands, middle field approach with ability to work to all fields, developing strength in wrists, projects for power as he continues to mature. Worked out in the infield, plays low to ground, clean footwork and lateral movements, hands work well, consistently clean feet and hands, clocked up to 79 mph on throws with quick release. Also pitched, works quickly and pitches with tempo, quick arm with compact and efficient stroke, repeats well, fastball worked 80-82 with command to either edge, showed slider with short, vertical bite and turned over a changeup as well. Quality two-way potential. Named to 2022 Ohio Valley Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List, excellent student.
