Corden Pettey is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Rocklin, CA who attends Whitney. Big and strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. High front side delivery with a compact arm takeaway in back that hides the ball well, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, very deceptive mechanics overall. Fastball was in the low 90's consistently and topped out at 93 mph, got on hitters quickly and was over powering at times, has some ride through the zone and threw plenty of strikes. Slider mimic'd his fastball in release and slot well, shorter offering with occasional horizontal depth. Change up was a solid pitch with some fade to it and feel for the zone. Three-pitch starter profile. Good student. Named to the High School All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.
