KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Afternoon Session
Macy Gregor is a 5'7, class of 2024, 2B/C, OF from Bloomington, MN who attends The Blake School. Macy is a young and upcoming, very talented and gifted player with a skill set that unquestionably projects to the next level. Macy's quick twitch athleticism was evident with an eye-popping 3.14 20-yard dash with a 1.09 5-yard split. Both times were among the best in the combine. A primary infielder, Macy shows commendable actions, especially for a player so early in her career, Her quick feet allow her to position well. She has a sound approach to fielding and her glove is soft and sure. She transitions in rhythm and her 55-mph throws are firm and routinely accurate. Macy also had an impressive round behind the plate. She shows a low profile at the ready and her soft hands are again evident here. She throws from her knees, and her throwing operation is impressive. Her 52-mph throws hold their plane and are accurate. Her 2.12 pop time is advanced for her age group. Solid next level prospect at least two (probably more) defensive positions. At the plate, this LHH starts with an balanced and slightly open stance. She is aggressive and has noticeable strength in her hands. She has a quick trigger and looks to extend her arms for leverage. She really fires her strong lower half and the ball jumps from her barrel. She has some BIG power. Macy is an unquestioned college prospect who has a sound approach. She has a game that, should she continue to pay attention to detail and work to get even stronger and more agile, will absolutely give her the opportunity to play at the next level. Big upside potential. Great effort player. All positive actions!
