Alexander Crowl is a 2027 3B/RHP/UT with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Wirtz, VA who attends Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy. Medium frame with strong current build, some life to his actions and time to refine overall athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.79 seconds. Primary position infielder, with some good lateral range and methodical foot work throughout the round. Emerging fluidity to his glove work but securing the ball. Standard infielders arm path producing accurate throws up to 73 mph here. Showed good dexterity on the slow roller play. Similar reps in the outfield, didn't carry momentum as well through the ball here but arm played up to 76 mph. Secondary RHP, working from the full windup from the middle of the rubber, swinging type leg lift to the belt, rigid actions, stationary hands at the belt breaking into a full slightly offline arm path, accelerates through a 3/4 arm angle, throwing strikes and getting outs, landing three pitches for strikes, fastball up to 76 mph with a touch of fade, subtle slider up to 63 mph with solid spin traits, changeup was effective living down in the zone with fade in the mid-60s. LHH working from an even stance with a good handset and natural rhythm. Quiet move to impact with steeper barrel path to the ball and shows feel for the inside part of the ball. RHH starting with a narrow and upright stance, bigger stride to impact and good handset once again. Strong hands at impact and showed power to left center field with solid bat speed. Intriguing well-rounded skillset and very good student as well.
