Xavier Rubio is a 2025 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Jurupa Valley, CA who attends Eleanor Roosevelt. Smaller young build with plenty of room and time to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a small leg raise load, has a short line drive swing with good feel for the barrel and the ability to square up to all fields, will continue to improve his bat speed with additional strength. 8.23 runner in the sixty. Has good hands on defense at second base, quick exchange into his throws, makes accurate throws, solid fundamentals for second base. Also took a turn on the mound, big side step start to his delivery, 3/4's arm action, big stride down the mound, stays balanced and under control well and gets extended out front. Fastball topped out at 70 mph, curveball showed good depth and had some feel for his change up as well, lots of strikes with all his pitches. Good student.
