2023 PG Softball KC Scouting Combine - Fall
Ilsa Hervey is a 2027 C/3B from West Des Moines, IA who attends Valley. Offensively she is a left-handed hitter who has power potential, especially to the pull side. She has a comfortable and loose presence in the box. Big load which does make her a little early at times, but solid foundation and strength. Defensively at third base needs to continue to work softer hands to keep the ball in the pocket when fielding. Behind the plate she attacks the bunt well and has a good transition to the throwing hand. Gets rid of the ball well during throw downs, but accuracy needs to continue to develop, partially with her body positioning during release. Overall has a solid foundation for growth and has an outstanding attitude on the field and the driven to continuously improve.
