Christian Zannitto is a 2027 3B/RHP, C, 2B, SS with a 5-8 125 lb. frame from Meridian, ID who attends Bishop Kelly. Features a high-waisted build with room to add more. Ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Showcased sound defensive actions during infield and catcher workouts. Quality glove actions work through hops and catch the ball consistently on the dirt. Solid footwork gets around ground balls well and creates momentum into throws. Threw 71 mph across the diamond. Athleticism played well behind the plate. Displays quick actions out of crouch. Gains ground well toward the target. Consistent ball transfers led to accurate throws often. Recorded a 2.04 second pop time. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wise base setup with a heel raise timing mechanism. Linear path produces line drives often. Approach stays geared toward the middle of the field. Flashes some feel for the barrel. Barrel accuracy should only get better as the swing mechanics continue to develop. Also threw as a righthanded pitcher. Gets into the lower half well using drop and drive mechanics down the mound. Short, high 3/4 arm action hides the ball well. Flashes decent arm speed throughout the arm swing. Flashed the ability to drop to a lower, sidearm slot. The fastball sat 71-75 mph with slight armside run. The offering was thrown for strikes often, allowing Zannitto to work ahead of hitters. It flashed the ability to get whiffs when elevated. The curveball sat 57-58 mph with 12-6 action. The abiity to spin it well creates a fair amount of bite. Still developing confidence in the offering. Also flashed a mid-60’s changeup with fading action. Has a good overall feel for pitching for the age. Has time to further refine mechanics and pitch mix consistency. Excellent student.
