Schmidt worked exclusively from his primary OF spot on the event, showcasing aggressive footwork through the baseball with clean transfers and a quick release shown. He produced consistent throws around the plate with developing arm strength up to 74 mph. On the offensive end, the lefty started from an even base with a compact hand set and low back elbow, effectively keeping the hands inside the baseball to generate impact with backspin to the middle of the field.
