William Barden is a 2027 3B/RHP, SS, IF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends James Madison. Features a taller/lean build with some present projection. Ran a 7.81 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed a quality approach working through the ball with some quickness with a longer arm action that made accurate throws to the bag up to 78. In the INF, he showed solid fundamentals. Got to his spots on-time and gets into good posture to field it clean. Fields it with one-hand. Shortened up the arm action where he was an easy 75 mph across with accuracy. At the plate, he sits in a medium base using a leg lift trigger that drifts slightly into contact. Higher set hands work on a direct path to the baseball where he used the whole field throughout his round with some quality strength at impact. On the mound, he worked exclusively from the stretch with a more drop/drive type delivery. Arm works with a slight stab in the back and up to a normal ¾ slot. Works in-line and is more upright at finish. The fastball was up to 72 where he controlled it well in-zone. Mixed in a 11-5 lower 60s curveball that he could flip over for strikes and a mid 60s developing changeup.
