Griffin Loy is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-5 219 lb. frame from Nancy, KY who attends Somerset. Primary right-handed pitcher with a big frame and strong athletic build. Staggered feet windup from the first base side of the rubber with a high-belt lift and high front side delivery down the slope. Works downhill with a high 3/4 slot release in a direct line to the plate. Ran the fastball up to 86 mph (1986 RPM) with some life at the top of the zone and slider in the low-80s with depth (2441RPM) to both sides of the plate. Flashed a changeup at 80 mph with low spin (1428 RPM) as a solid third offering to complete his pitch package. Pitched around his slider with confidence to both sides of the plate early in counts and then fastball up in the zone with strong finish at release to full extension. Big frame right-hander with present strength and starter profile pitch package with room in the frame to add more size moving forward. Outstanding student with a verbal commitment to the University of Louisville. Secondary first baseman with deliberate footwork around the bag and long gather to exchange. Two-hand funnel out front with lower slot release and online throws. Right-handed hitter with an even base and wider stance in the box. Toe-tap trigger with a high back elbow slot and linear bat path through the zone. Controls the barrel through the middle and opposite field with best impact out front.
