Cole Richards is a 2027 SS with a 5-10 165 lb. athletic, projectable frame from Glendale, CA who attends Crescenta Valley HS. Started off the event clocking a 7.33 60-yard dash. A primary shortstop that shows the correct traits high level infielders possess. Separated himself in his defensive round, more specifically in game play and definitely proved he is athletic enough to stick on the dirt long term. Richard's worked through the ball with confidence and the footwork/glove combo synced up leading into his strong accurate arm tool. At the plate Richard's stood out squaring it up on a consistent basis peppering the gaps. Flashed a fews hard hit balls with backspin and carry to the wall. Creates good separation in the load getting him into a solid hitting position before firing to contact. Good looking prospect, high follow, excellent student.
