Shane Berney is a 2027 OF/1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from North Haven, CT who attends North Haven. Big and strong athletic build. 7.57 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has a clean arm stroke and good carry on his throws, got into position well and made accurate throws. Also played first base, had soft hands but still developing his lower half actions and footwork. Left handed hitter, sets up in a comfortable bent knee stance with a short stride into contact, hits balanced and under control, has present bat speed and can impact the ball while getting it into the air consistently, plenty of projection in his swing and athleticism. Good student. Named to the Mid-Atlantic High School All-State Games Top Prospect List.
