Steven Thomas Jr is a 2027 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Schenectady, NY who attends Colonie Central. Medium, compact frame with some proportioned strength and quick twitch athleticism. Recorded a 7.11 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with a quick first step, good lateral range to either side and the ability to make the play on the run with ease. Recorded accurate throws up to 77 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked a full windup delivery with a belt high leg lift into balance and shorter stride out to foot strike. Compact movements down the slope, repeats well and pitches to contact. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 75 mph from a high three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in developing two-plane breaking ball that varied in shape and showed gradual depth to it. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a tight hands and big leg lift trigger. Intent based swing with lots of movement into launch, showed ability to impact the baseball with authority on-time to the middle and pullside of the field. Will continue to improve with minor swing adjustments. Quick twitch athlete with upside on both sides of the ball, will continue to expand skill set with physical maturity and minor mechanical improvements.
