Cooper Marks is a 2027 SS/RHP/C with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Elon, NC who attends Western Alamance. Compact medium frame with some life to his actions and wiry strength with a lot of time to add physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.98 seconds. Primary position infielder, with basic fundamental actions working through the ball well. Calculated footwork with some lateral range and clean out front glove work. Compact arm path building throws up to 80 mph across diamond. Secondary RHP, full windup from the 3B side of the rubber, small side step to belt high leg lift with good balance over the rubber, stationary hands at the belt breaking into compact inline arm path with inverted elbow leading to the sky, turns the hand over late to load, accelerates through a high 3/4 arm angle, compact delivery staying around the zone and repeating pretty, fastball up to 76 mph pretty straight, rolling breaker with open spin in the mid-60s. Reps behind the dish as well, with a solid initial setup, game like actions and feeds up to 73 mph with pop-time best 2.18 seconds. Looks the part behind the dish and could be another good spot for him. Switch hitter, from then left side working from an even start, good handset and taking direct path to contact. Accurate barrel with controlled operation peppering hard grounders for low-line drives. From the right side, starting with an even stance, using small stride to get moving. Hands really work here, strong at impact and gets the ball in the air naturally with some pull side juice. Capable from both side of the dish. Very good student as well.
