Nolan Blood is a 2028 C/3B, OF with a 5-1 105 lb. frame from Sammamish, WA who attends Skyline. Features a smaller/lean build with plenty of room to fill and add size/strength. Ran a 8.76 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed quality footwork that got him to his spots. Glove worked down on time and out front but some slowdown in footwork at reception and at times flat-footed. Showed a shorter AA with uphill shoulders that got off accurate throws with avg. strength for his level. Behind the plate, set up in a taller side-saddle during throwdowns with shoulders almost pre-aligned with 2B. Longer exchange but gains good ground towards second. Didn’t take a BP round, but took swings during gameplay. Set up in an open stance with a toe tap trigger. Timing was inconsistent with most swings being late and a bit rushed. Hands worked direct to the baseball. Minimal waisted movement to the swing just looks to add some strength. On the mound, he worked exclusively from the stretch. Sid steps into a mid chest knee lift. More tall/fall tendencies with minimal driveleg sit/engagment. Shorter AA with avg. armspeed to a normal ¾ slot. Only showed a fastball that worked into the low 60s.
