Alex Perez is a 2027 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Metuchen, NJ who attends Rutgers Preparatory. Lean, athletic frame with tons of projection and room to add strength. Recorded a 6.87 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with athletic actions into and throughout the fielding process. Showed proper footwork and worked through the baseball with intent. Showed a slightly elongated exchange process and produced fairly accurate throws with developing arm strength up to 78 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Whole field approach with a line drive stroke and some quickness to his hands. Developing feel for the barrel that will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
