Javier Santana is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends John Paul II Catholic. Long and projectable athletic build. 7.51 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense with third base tools and actions, arm strength is his best defensive tool, gets very good carry on his throws, has good feel for his glove and fields the ball cleanly, still developing his lower half quickness and actions. Right handed hitter, has good rhythm in his swing and creates nice barrel whip with quick and strong hands, got the ball in the air consistently to the pull side, projects lots of power as he continues to mature. Also took the mound and showed he was a two-way prospect, has a well controlled and athletic delivery that he repeated well. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with good command and some late life. Tended to drop his release slot a bit on his slider which had some sweeping depth. Also flashed a nice change up to a left handed hitter. Three pitches with command and plenty of physical projection. Excellent student. Named to the Florida High School All-State Games Top Prospect List.
