Haaken Hovestol is a 2027 C/OF, UT with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Elkhorn, WI who attends Delavan-Darien. Medium, athletic frame with present strength to frame and additional room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, quickness to feet coming out of the crouch while gaining ground and works through the ball well. Athleticism plays in transfer and footwork, gets it out of glove well and shows nice in-flight carry down to second base with accuracy, stays down throughout actions and repeats. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; fluid swing and simple mechanics, does a nice job of getting extended out front at the point of contact. Rotates well through the ball and able to impact the ball back to the middle of the field in the air, gathers weight well onto backside and shifts through lower half with balance and timing. Excellent student. Named to the Midwest Indoor Top Prospect List.
