Jacob Harvey is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Hendersonville, NC who attends East Henderson. A lean build and more compact frame with room to keep filling out and adding to the frame moving forward. Primary shortstop who worked out at the position with some feel to get to the ball and work through it with intent. He threw 72 mph across the diamond during his round, showing intent through release and working to get the ball out with some urgency. Showed some feel for the approach. He worked out in the outfield as well, working to get to the ball quickly, with some developing footwork and one-hand gather to get the ball to the chest and work into the throw. He threw from a higher three-quarters arm slot with a longer arm stroke. He showed good actions on the approach. Took BP as a right-handed hitter with an even -- slightly spread base and higher-set hands with the back elbow up. He used a simple move in the front foot to get into the swing and take the hands to it. Very simple and compact move, staying short to the baseball. Showed some feel for the barrel and worked in the air with some line drives during his round of BP. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who worked with a three-quarters arm slot with a longer and loose arm stroke. He showed some speed through release, creating some whip to the arm. He had a sidestep delivery with the knee-to-chest leg lift, showing balance. He had some extension with an on-line finish to the plate. Had some pace and aggressiveness to the delivery. He worked the low- to mid-70s with spin above 2,000 RPMs. He showed a 12-6 shaped breaking ball in the mix as well, showing some feel to command it with sharp bite to the pitch.
