Trent Kline might be the best catcher in high school baseball. Others are bigger, but few have Kline's athletic ability and tools. He is very quick behind the plate. He runs fairly well and his instincts are rare. He has a MLB arm and pops in the 1.8s. Thing is he even threw a 1.89 in the game. He can hit from both sides of the plate. He does look a bit more natural from the right side, but showed a good line drive swing from the left too. Good bat speed with maybe just a little wrap. Shows surprising power potential. As he gets stronger he's going to hit the long ball. He's a college all-american type catcher. Will pro scouts jump on him in a good round? Surely someone sees that he is a rare talent and will overlook the old size thing. There's no doubt that Kline will end up in Professional baseball. It's just a matter of when. Don't be surprised if we see him catching in the Big Leagues in the future. He's a winner and big league clubs like to win.
