Tyler Benick is a 2023 3B/2B, SS with a 6-4 199 lb. frame from Fredericksburg, VA who attends Riverbend. Tall, physical build with loads of strength present throughout his frame. 7.32-second runner during the sixty. Primary infielder, fields out in front with a deep funnel. Moved well going to his left-and right, changing slots when needed. Some arm strength as he worked up to 82 mph across the diamond. Proper footwork with developing quickness to his feet. Projects to stay at a corner of the infield long term. Switch hitter, setting up with a narrow, slightly open stance from both sides. From the right side, displayed consistent feel for the barrel, flashing some jump to the left-center field gap as he worked with an elevated stroke. From the left-side, worked to the middle-of-the-field, turning on a few balls to the pull side. Incorporated his strength well into his swing, generating tons of bat speed. Excellent student.
