Dominic Thompson is a 2028 C/RHP, 3B, UT with a 5-6 142 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ. Features a smaller/lean frame with plenty of room/time to add. Ran a 7.93 60-yd dash. In the OF and INF he showed developing actions. During his OF workout he would wait back initially and slow down footwork a bunch at reception. Fields it clean but off his backleg. Resets momentum post reception and gets into a small crowhop. Uses a longer arm action that got off higher arcing throws with avg. strength for his level. In the INF, it appeared to be more CINF actions. Avg. foot quickness/range. Fields it deeper into his body. On GB right at him and to the forehand side showed a clean funnel to the belt with a solid exchange. Showed a shortened up arm action that made 50/50 accurate throws across showing similar arm strength. Behind the plate showed segmented actions on throwdowns with his feet and hands. Showed avg. quickness out the crouch for his level but gains ground and sets good direction. Uses a clean and quick exchange that transitions to a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws to 2nd. At the plate, he sits in a taler stance with loose hands. Uses a smaller leg lift gather where the barrel loads into a slight tip. Turns the barrel on a slight uphill bat path that had some length but flashed some above avg. hand/bat speed for his level. Produced a solid amount of LDs through the middle of the field. On the mound, showed a slower tempo delivery. Sinks into lower half but a bit pushy off the rubber and lands on-line. Medium circle in he back that hides it a bit and works up to a normal 3/4 slot. The FB worked up to 72 flashing some ASR. Mixed in a CH he was able to kill spin on and create some depth and fade too.
