2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 21)
Jake Elliott is a 2029 3B/RHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Lascassas, TN who attends Oakland High School. Medium frame with some wiry strength and lean mass with all sorts of time and space to add overall physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.59 seconds. Primary position infielder, working methodically to the ball and getting into good angles based on play demands. Presents glove well and works into deeper midline funnel. Emerging overall arm strength building feeds across the diamond up to 75 mph with good accuracy. RHH starting upright and a bit narrow with turned in front foot. Sinks into base during load to foot strike changing eye levels a bit. Has an idea with bat path and the ball will jump with added strength over time. When on time and extended, showed his best impact gap-to-gap staying in the middle of the field. Young athlete with a lot to look forward to and an interesting follow.
