Trace McDonald is a 2027 SS/2B/OF with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Gilbert, AZ who attends American Leadership Academy Gilbert North. Long wiry build with additional strength in store. Ran a 7.55 in the sixty. Showed well in outfield and infield drills. Works from a lower slot at both spots and works to the bag. Clean footwork and solid carry to the bag. Sound accuracy, good mover up the middle. Adjusts slot well and has feel based upon his athleticism. Right-handed hitter, high hand set from open stance with high leg kick. Works it out front with big lift and strength. Strong hands and uses the hole field and showed some hard liners up the middle. Swings with lots of intent. Named to Tops Prospect list. Excellent student.
