Jayke Troutwine is a 2028 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Centerville, IN who attends Hagerstown. Slender athletic frame. Primary Left-handed pitcher with controllable movements in the delivery, big above the belt leg kick to create some deception and a long arm action to a three-quarter slot release. Mixed a low 70's fastball and a beginning stages breaking ball with slight late break. Showed the ability to throw strikes and mix speeds from a deceptive delivery. Also worked out at first base showing sound fundamentals, the ability to move around the bag, turn the double play and make accurate throws with solid average arm strength. Left-handed hitter hit from a wide base with leg lift timing. Some hand separation in the load, drifts to contact with a rotational swing. Developing ability to get the legs incorporated into the swing. An all fields approach with developing bat speed.
