Pitching
- Some upside on the mound. Side steps into a higher chest knee lift. Quality drop/drive to the delivery that isn't forced. Shorter take back of the arm in the back to a higher slot with some above avg. arm speed. Falls slightly off to 1B side of mound at finish. Decent block.
- Pounded the zone with the FB and mixed in a slurvy breaker with quality spin for the velo that buckled hitters and produced some whiffs. Not much to note developmentally. Just make sure you land with consistent direction through home at landing and maintain slot/armspeed when throwing that good breaker.
Fielding
- OF - Aggressive and quick to start in the initial approach but starts to get choppy and hesitant into reception. Deeper reception at times. Can maybe slow yourself down a tad to allow yourself to work into some better fielding positions and work smoother into your throws.
- INF - Quality and developing actions in the INF. Used a ton of glove taps before reception and one post reception. Glove got low and out front for clean reception but got deep into knees. Flashed some stab glovework to the backhand side. Quality arm strength and accuracy across the diamond. Work on getting the chest/head down without dropping so much into your knees.
Hitting
- Athletic stance. Simple trigger. At times rushed but was able to slow it down with a slight lean/gather into backside. Hands work short/direct to the baseball with a level finish that flashed some quickness. Late at times. Best barrels were quality pullside LDs. Stays behind a firm front side and maintains balance.
- Can flatten out the path a bit to avoid the GB tendencies of a steeper swing. Impact will come with added strength and bat speed. Make sure you are never rushed into launch whether that means loading earlier/slower which will help diminish lateness.
