Riley Matlock is a 2026 C/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends Southport. Athletic catcher's build with good present strength. 6.84 runner in the sixty. Sets up in a staggered one knee down stance behind the plate, is quick coming out of his crouch and in his exchange, can improve his efficiency and smoothness but has the athleticism/quickness, good arm strength, was around the bag on his throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a deep hand load, big leg raise trigger, gets the foot down on time, big strength in his hands and impressive bat speed, well connected with lower half turn and drive, uphill launch angle, drives the ball with carry to all fields, ball really comes off the barrel well. Has leadership qualities behind the plate and stood out for his work ethic and extra effort. Good student. Named to the PG Indianapolis Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
