Matthew Nabieu is a 2028 3B/2B/OF with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Mount Carmel. Medium, compact frame with plenty of time and room to mature physically. Recorded a 7.80 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with proper footwork into the fielding process, a clean funnel out in-front and some lateral range to either side. Worked through the baseball with a slightly uphill release, while recording arm strength up to 72 mph across the diamond. Secondary outfielder with fundamentally sound footwork into and throughout the fielding process. Comes and gets it with good pace, fields out in-front and maintains momentum into release. Worked into a shorter arm action to throw and produced fairly accurate throws up to 73 mph during defensive drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, open base with a tight hand set and small inward hover trigger. Slightly lofted stroke with some looseness to his hands and developing feel for the barrel. Best impact was to the middle and pull sides of the field, while exhibiting best power potential to left centerfield. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
