Chase Pitula is a 2026 2B/RHP, SS with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Frankfort, IL, who attends Lincoln-Way East. A higher-set waist in a younger build. Lean and slender build. Room to keep filling out the frame. Ran an 8.66 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder who worked out, staying lower on his approach. Patient approach with a stabby backhand. He got into position well and had a shorter release, throwing 71 mph across the diamond. Projectable actions with added strength. A right-handed hitter in a medium base with flexed knees. He keeps the weight back to start with a simple stride into contact, working on an uphill path. He looks to pull the ball during his round of BP swings. A shorter swing with strength from the backside. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher, sidestepping into a leg lift just below the belt. He goes over the head with the arms as he gets into his motion, with some coil to the delivery. He has a longer arm action through the back. The fastball was in the low 70s, and he showed the pitch working east/west to command the zone. The pitch also had an occasional cut to it. He showed a curveball with an 11/5 shape to it, being able to miss some bats with the pitch. He could land the curveball for strikes. He mixed both pitches in his attack to command the zone. An excellent student.
