Gus DeQuesada is a 2009 RHP that attends Christopher Columbus HS and resides in Miami, FL with a 6'1", 185 lb. frame. Gus has an athletic build with a good idea of how to pitch. On the mound Gus has a loose whippy arm action and varies his release point. Gus has an online delivery with good deception. His command is very good as he stays low in the strike zone and works the inside and outside corners well. Gus' breaking pitches have a tendency to roll a little bit and will need to work on staying on top of these pitches. Gus is a solid student with a good feel for how to pitch and should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
