2024 Great Lakes High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Aaron Katz is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-2 184 lb. frame from Westmont, IL who attends Hinsdale Central. Katz ran a 7.49 Sixty Yard Dash. Athletic frame with some length and strength present. Right handed pitcher with a medium length drop step into a hip height leg lift. The arm action is longer though the backside with some whip to the shoulder stroke coming from a high three quarters release angle. He commanded a fastball which peaked at 79mph well to the inner third while also mixing in a tighter breaking ball with 11-5 shape that he goes to late in counts for Ks. Right handed hitter in the box with a narrow open stance with a small toe tap trigger. The bat path is longer through the zone with some quickness within the barrel showing some whip through the zone. There was some strength at impact getting around the ball slightly driving it deep to the pull side. Katz was named to the 2024 Great Lakes All State Games Top Prospect List.
