Tyler Odom is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Mount Olive, NC who attends Southern Wayne. Medium athletic build. Works from a short and deliberate delivery from the third base side of the rubber, deep in line arm takeaway in back, accelerates down the mound, can incorporate his front side more to help generate arm speed and timing. Fastball was in the mid to upper 70's, mostly straight with occasional arm side running life. Threw a rolling curveball as his off-speed pitch. 7.82 runner in the sixty. Plays both outfield and first base when not on the mound, looked more skilled and comfortable at first base at this event, throws well from different arm slots and fields the ball well from good glove position. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with a big leg lift load, has quick hands from a low set that creates some lift, has gap to gap power. Good student.
