Colton Pruetz is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 6-1 187 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Corona Del Sol. Features an athletic build with some quality strength. Ran a 7.13 60-yd dash. Behind the plate, operated in a side saddle set up. Showed avg. quickness with the lower-half where he replaces feet well but gains minimal ground. Solid/compact exchange that happened at the mid-chest. Maintained a shorter arm action that got off accurate throws to the bag with avg. strength. Displayed solid receiving ability as well. At the plate, stands with a narrow base and uses a simple forward move where his foot gets down early. Smaller takeback of the hands in his load. Intent to lift with the bat path but with inconsistent timing and barrel feel. Flashes of some above avg. bat speed and some impact just didn't get to it consistently. On the mound, showed a simple and low-effort operation. Side steps into a hip high knee lift that worked more straight up/down for a more tall fall type delivery. Arm works more hand-lead out the glove and works loose/continuous up to a higher 3/4 slot. Shorter length stride that lands on-line. Ran the FB up to 81, living in the upper 70s that had some natural ASR. Mixed in an effective upper 60s, T70 CH that had strong fading action.
