Hayden Tunks is a 2028 C/RHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Simcoe, ON who attends Delhi. Medium, compact build with well-proportioned strength present and projection remaining. Primary catcher, sets up in a wider, slightly open stance and gets out of the crouch with some urgency. Remains direct with his footwork, utilizing a midline transfer before separating into a medium arm path. Takes a longer stride before releasing the ball from a high slot. Displayed impressive lateral agility and explosiveness in the lower-half. Kept his throws around the bag, recording arm strength up to 74 mph with a pop time of 1.97 sec. Right-handed hitter, starts in a narrow stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes a small leg lift trigger for timing before working into a level bat path. Remains short to the baseball with solid bat speed generated through the zone. Delivers the barrel with intent and cuts off the finish a bit. Produced consistent line drive impact to the pull-side and middle of the field during batting practice. Posted an exit velocity of 77 mph. Ran a 7.29 sixty-yard dash. Great student.
