Alexander Aridas is a 2027 RHP/MIF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Park Ridge, IL, who attends Maine South. A taller kid with a medium build and frame. Ran a 7.96 60-yard dash. A primary right-handed pitcher who worked from the wind-up, sidestepping into a bigger outward leg lift up to the belt. He works downhill with a higher three-quarters arm slot through his release. He creates some looseness to the arm action. The fastball had some occasional life to it with arm-side life to it. Fastball worked in the mid- to upper-70s. He also showed changeups with good arm-side depth to it, around 70 mph, killing spin well. He showed an 11-5 shape to the breaking ball in the mid-60s as well. The pitch had some inconsistent shape, getting more lateral movement to it, but could use it as a change of pace from the fastball. A right-handed hitter who has an open stance with an even base. He uses the upper body well in his swing with good turns through contact. He had hands tighter to the body, taking a direct route to contact during his round of BP swings. He used a whole-field approach during his round of swings. Also worked out as a middle-infielder who fielded it up the middle, making the plays and throwing 73 mph across the diamond. He was accurate around the bag, fielding the ball up the middle as he funnels to throws on an uphill path.
