Gabriel Vázquez is a 2025 SS/IF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Cayey, PR who attends Colegio La Merced. Slender build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.36 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, works low to the ground and gets his glove in god position to field the ball, clean on the back hand, has some carry on his throws, probably best suited for third base in the future on defense. Right handed hitter, has a short stride into contact, casts his hands out early, hands driven swing, can get more rotation from his lower half, contact oriented swing with a middle of the field approach, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength and adjustments.
