Justin Wicelinski is a 2025 1B/IF with a 6-0 173 lb. frame from Bayside, NY who attends Holy Cross HS. Medium athletic frame with broad shoulders and some strength present throughout. Primary first baseman, starts in a wider base and stays low as he works through the baseball. Displayed some lateral range to both sides, making smooth turns while delivering accurate throws across the diamond. Breaks into a shorter arm path prior to release. Recorded arm strength up to 68 mph. Switch-hitter. From the left-side, starts in an even stance with a high back elbow and high hand set-up. Utilizes a simple hover trigger for timing before working into a flatter bat path. Gets handsy and a bit slashy at times. Displayed a developing feel for the barrel with soft contact to the pull-side when timed up. From the right-side, starts in a similar stance and set-up. Stays short to the baseball. Has some present hand speed and can create good impact when timed up. Ran a 3.89 thirty-yard dash. Excellent student.
