Carson Klein is a 2028 3B/RHP with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Epworth, IA who attends Western Dubuque. He has a tall frame with a lean build and plenty of room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.27 seconds. Primary third baseman that moved well to both sides of his body. He has a good feel for the glove, fielding the ball cleanly and transferring it quickly to his throwing hand. He made accurate throws across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from the first base side of the rubber. He uses a belt high leg kick and works inline with the plate. He has a short, in line arm action and fires from a low 3/4 slot. His fastball showed occasional cutting action and he located it to all parts of the plate. His curveball as 12-6 shape that he had a good feel for and was able to land for strikes. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base and an upright stance with a high back elbow. He uses a simple stride for timing and works through the ball with his lower half. His bat path is flatter and he looks to make line drive contact into the gaps. Excellent student.
