Jackson Payne is a 2027 3B/C/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Edgewood, KY who attends Covington Catholic. Payne works from a broader built frame with strength evident throughout. Primary IF, displayed a deep fielding funnel with the ability to change slots on the run. Good range for size and produced accurate throws across the diamond up to 78 mph. Projects as a 3B. Offensively, the righty started from a wider base with good barrel control present. Worked all parts of the field for impact with repeatable stroke overall. Can further incorporate the lower half and generate carry on the baseball. Posted an exit velo of 80 mph. Ran a 7.99 sixty yard dash. Good student.
