Jhase Lane is a 2005 OF from Garland, TX. Lane is a young looking athlete with an excellent, well proportioned body that looks taller than his listed 6'3"/205. Of course, it’s very rare for a player to look taller than his listed size, but Lane definitely does. His raw athletic tools are very strong. He’s an average big league runner underway and runs hard all the time. Lane’s arm strength is solid from the outfield, and he has the kind of body control and hustling attitude that leads you to believe that he’ll be a good defensive outfielder. Lane’s setup at the plate is good, with a tall stance that maintains his leverage and a good swing plane. Right now, Lane is long to the ball with his hands. He’s the kind of athlete with a very high ceiling should he be able to make adjustments with the bat, but those adjustments will dictate his baseball future. He's extra interesting with pro level potential. Jhase is a good student.
