Matt Barra is a 2011 RHP/1B with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame from Pittsford, NY who attends Pittsford HS. Medium athletic frame, long limbs, wiry with strength and room for continued development. Good mechanics on mound, over the top release, shorter arm action, balanced, lands to plate, aware of runners. Shows good actions around 1B, moves feet well, fields ball out front, gets in good position to throw, arm strength across infield. Square upright stance, line drive contact at plate, consistent swing, medium stride, will go other way, stays balanced. Good student.
