Kellen Bozeman is a 2006 right handed pitcher/infielder from Baton Rouge, LA with a medium build that shows good strength at 6-0, 180 lbs. He throws from a very tall delivery, with a high leg kick and an over the top, "Iron Mike" type of arm action the creates very good downhill plane to the plate. You aren't going to see much more of a over the top delivery than Bozeman's. Bozeman's fastball was in the 87-89 mph range in Atlanta. Not surprisingly with his delivery Bozeman tends to pitch up in the strike zone. His breaking ball is a 74 mph curveball that will show you some tight spin and he also throws a sinking 72 mph change up. Bozeman is also a quality athlete with prospect tools as a position player. He ran the 60 in 6.96 and uses his strength very well with the bat. He has very good bat speed and showed the ability both in batting practice and in the games to make hard pull contact. We'd really like to see more of him as a player; he projects very well. Bozeman is also a good student.
