Carlos Martinez is a 2012 OF/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from West Covina, CA who attends Nogales HS. Medium build, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, busy load/trigger, high back elbow, confident hitting approach, gets good loose extension and bat speed through contact, line drive swing plane, hits to all fields, recognizes pitches, can simplify load for more consistent timing. 7.20 runner, left field tools in the outfield. Good student, verbal commitment to Hawaii.
