Michael White is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-5 185 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends University School of NSU. Long lean athletic frame, projects well physically. Good delivery with long arm action and high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, lots of loose extension, gets out front and works downhill, pitches look like they get on hitters quickly. Fastball to 85 mph, good run and sink at times, flashes very good change up with consistent arm speed and release point. Throws both curveball and slider, curveball good pitch with big downer shape, changes hitter's eye level, slider flatter get me over type pitch. Has an idea how to pitch and really projects, already up 3-4 mph since the summer. Shows athleticism on defense at first base, 7.29 runner. Right handed hitter, opposite field power, 2 triples to RF in one game, has some late bat speed, stays inside the ball, comes off the barrel hard. Interesting athlete and pitcher, follow very closely for anticipated progress. Good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
