Austin McCullers is a 2014 2B/3B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Jesuit. Has a medium athletic frame with a compact solid build. Good lateral movement on the infield allows him to get to balls deep in the hole. Good soft hands, throws are online and accurate, good baseball instincts. Starts with a slightly open stance at the plate with a high hand set. Has an aggressive approach with bat speed, is a gap to gap hitter with pop, has lift in his swing. Makes solid consistent contact at the plate and squares the ball up. Is an excellent student.
