Stephen Holland is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Huntington, WV who attends Huntington HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Varies release slots, often high 3/4's, at other times drops to sidearm, tends to lose leverage with backside collapse, arm is loose and works well. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, have seen up to 85 in the past, good sink at times, commands fastball well to his arm side. Throws two types of breaking ball, shorter harder version with good lateral depth is better, softer curveball tends to hang. Shows a good feel for his change up with proper arm speed. Tries to mix it up and change speeds. Outstanding student.
